Divisional Facilitation Council Meets to Safeguard Interests of Micro and Small Enterprises

Lucknow: A meeting of the Divisional Facilitation Council, Lucknow, was held at the Export Bhawan under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant to address delayed payment disputes involving Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and ensure their timely and effective resolution.

The meeting focused on protecting the interests of micro and small enterprises by facilitating the settlement of outstanding payment-related disputes. Officials from various departments, along with representatives and parties associated with the listed cases, participated in the proceedings.

A total of 24 references were presented before the Council for conciliation. Reviewing the progress of each case, the Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned parties to make every effort to resolve disputes through mutual dialogue and consensus. He emphasized that amicable settlements would provide quicker relief to entrepreneurs while reducing the need for prolonged legal proceedings.

Pant instructed officials associated with the Council to ensure that all received references are heard and processed within the prescribed timelines. He stressed that unnecessary delays at any stage should be avoided and directed concerned departments to regularly monitor pending cases and submit progress reports.

During the meeting, the Council also approved the registration of four new references. The Divisional Commissioner directed officials to complete preliminary procedures at the earliest and issue notices to the concerned parties in a timely manner so that the cases can be taken up for resolution without delay.

He further emphasized the importance of maintaining transparency, fairness, and strict adherence to established procedures in the handling of every case.

The meeting was attended by Member Secretary and Joint Commissioner, Industries, Lucknow Division, Anil Kumar, along with Arun Bhatia, representative of Laghu Udyog Bharati, and the parties involved in the listed references.

Officials reiterated the Council’s commitment to providing an efficient dispute-resolution mechanism for micro and small enterprises, helping improve the business environment and ensuring timely payments to entrepreneurs across the region.
